Energy Hacks

A self-ethnography experiment born from the experience of spending one week with limited access to energy resources.

Why not getting inspired and implement your own hacks some days a week. 

Calculate

Learning the details of your devices consumptions of energy is the first step for reducing them. There are various ways of doing this, from math to devices that you can plug between your appliances and the plugs.

Set a goal

In the UK there is a website that tell you how the energy that is on the grid is being produced. After calculating what my full intake of energy would be, I would calculate the daily percentage of renewable energy and consume the equivalent. 

Hack it away

Enter the game and aim at staying into your energy goal. Take it seriously, play in the dark, read under the light of a streetlight, put a timer to your showers,
challenge yourself and keep counting. Maybe do it with friends, sharing heat maximize your potentials of success.
